New Delhi Municipal Council aims at providing affordable healthcare scheme

The vice-chairman of the NDMC, Mr Satish Upadhyay, disclosed on Tuesday, that the Ayushman Bharat Yojna would be shortly started within the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) area. The Yojna would help in coping up with the health and medical necessities of people belonging to the economically weaker sections.

The council accredited its in-principle approval for the start of the Ayushman Bharat Pradhanmantri Jan Arogya Yojna (ABPMJY) for smart cities residents in May 2022. He further said that in line with the 2011 census, the floating population of the NDMC area was 2.5 lakh and their information can be collected, and the scheme can be soon implemented for them.
